    Guest speaker at ABW 2008 Leadership Forum
    Karen is married to Mark Wilson and together they led Whitford Church in WA as Senior Pastors for 16 years.

    Currently Mark is the Director of Ministries for the Baptist Churches of WA and Karen works for Willow Creek Association International as the Executive Producer of leadership events for Australasia. She travels extensively in her role and enjoys building and developing leadership teams across Australia, Asia and New Zealand.

    Karen and Mark have been married for 23 years and have two children, Daniel who is 19 and Katie who is 16. She was raised in a ministry home and has a love for people and seeing them grow and mature.

    Her passion is in leadership development and she has a pastoral, relational approach to ministry. Karen recently took on another role – that of the Western Australian Baptist Women's Ministry President.

    Some may remember meeting Sister Kay Simons in Fiji or at the Women's Department Conference in Birmingham. Here she is in the photo to the left.

    Sister Kay Simmons (President of PNG Baptist Women's ministry ) who is heading up the work in remote villiages to build birthing huts and provide education and training to villiages. The mum and baby are from Bio River and this baby was one born in Kay's birthing hut.

    This is one of the projects supported by Australian Baptist Women - $500 per hut and supplies needed of baby jumpers and bunny rugs.
